Xocolatl Chocolate Nerve Tour
Thursday, September 19
In 2012, a young family set off on an adventure to the jungles of Costa Rica for an unplugged life. Unsure if they’d stay for six months or indefinitely, they rented a tiny house on a shoestring budget and immersed themselves in the community. When they discovered the diverse flavors of chocolate abundant on these farms, totally unlike the candy bars of their past, they decided to bring this pure chocolate experience back to Atlanta.
Returning with Costa Rican cacao, they spent a year perfecting their recipes. By late 2014, they opened their micro-factory and retail store at Krog Street Market, becoming Atlanta’s premier bean-to-bar craft chocolate company. Now, Xocolatl has grown far beyond Atlanta, shipping their chocolate across the US.
Experience a behind-the-scenes look at this inspiring business who carved a new niche in the Atlanta scene from the ground up.
